ABOUT ALUMINUM DRIVEWAY & ENTRANCE
GATES:
These beautifully designed
gates add an elegance all their own. They are
lightweight and nearly maintenance free they are perfect for areas
in corrosive climates and clients who enjoy the very intricate and
ornate designs metals can offer.
Most of the gates are solid
cast aluminum, however several of them contain solid aluminum rod.
Please contact us for specific details on the strong and durable
structure of our gates.
The cast components are made
from durable commercial grade aluminum. The frames are made from
structural grade 6063 extruded aluminum. All other elements
including hinges, latches and dead bolts, ground anchors and rollers
are designed and engineered to minimize maintenance costs and
minimize or eliminate rust or corrosion concerns by using stainless
steel or galvanized metal components. The gate or fence
sections are carefully hand prepped and pre-finished with a factory
applied four-coat acrylic paint available in a wide range of colors
as well as faux finishes in Antique Bronze or Antique Patina Green.
Metallic paint finishes are available in bronze, gun metal gray,
blue and green with custom colors available on request. Our
aluminum driveway gates come in many
finish choices. Available finishes include faux patinas
and verdigris finishes.
VIEW ALUMINUM
FINISH OPTIONS
MATERIAL SPECS: The
aluminum driveway gate perimeter frames are made with heavy-duty,
extruded 6063 aluminum profiles. The standard frame used on most
driveway gates, garden and courtyard gates measures approximately
1.5” x 3”. Other frame sizes are available upon request. Our garden
and courtyard sized gates come hinged with a lockable latch and a
ground anchor if requested. We can also provide attachment
plates for powered equipment at your request. All automation
should be attached to the outer gate frame and not to the internal
ornamentation as continual stress will degrade the gate prematurely.
A properly installed and connected gate will bring many long years
of servitude.
The aluminum driveway gate
hinge system consists of a stainless steel pin-and-barrel hinge with
grease port and ball bearing load point. Hinges are available in 2”
and 1.5” diameters. Depending on gate size and weight, hinges are
engineered to a maximum 600 lb. load per hinge. Hinges are welded to
a galvanized steel bracket secured to the aluminum extruded frame by
four 1/4” steel rivet pins. Brackets and hinges come pre-finished to
match the gate paint finish.
